Emotional Intelligence
EI Description
Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a set of personal and interpersonal competencies
that give us:
- The ability to know, manage and use your emotions
- The ability to be aware of and respond effectively to the emotions of others
Emotions drive behavior and behavior drives outcomes at home, at work, and in life. The premise of Emotional Intelligence (EI) is that lasting change happens "from the inside out," beginning with increased self-awareness and self-management and moving to greater social awareness and relationship management with others.
We are all at different levels of EI, but wherever we are, we can increase our abilities with the training and right practice. Contrary to the popular belief that IQ and other forms of intelligence are genetically-based, emotional intelligence CAN be learned. Skills can be learned and new behavior developed.

source of human energy, information, connection and influence."
